Gregg Brekke is an award-winning visual journalist and writer dedicated to creating photo and video stories that inspire, transform, and cross boundaries to introduce new audiences to the incredible people and experiences our world has to offer. 
Assignments have taken him around the world to produce stories on global health, economic development, migration, disaster response, humanitarian assistance, religious expression, and outdoor adventure.
Recent work has been published by Forbes, Sojourners Magazine, Religion News Service, The Christian Century, World YWCA, US Catholic, Presbyterian News Service, PBS’ Religion and Ethics NewsWeekly, and is found in syndication at major news outlets including the Washington Post. Video projects have included PSA feature films, curriculum development, non-profit mission promotion, location reporting, and commercials.
Prior to going freelance he was editor of Presbyterian News Service, news director for the United Church of Christ, and editor of United Church News and StillSpeaking Magazine. 
He serves as executive director of the Associated Church Press, is on the World Alliance for Christian Communication (WACC-NA) Executive Committee, and serves as the North American representative to the WACC Global board.
Brekke lives in Sykesville, Maryland, and received a B.A. in history from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn., and a M.Div. degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
